The results say that incumbent Iranian president Ahmadinejad has soundly defeated presidential candidate Mirhossein Mousavi, but apparently no one is really buying it. According to Reuters news, the “losing” candidate Mousavi formally appealed against Iran’s election result on Sunday, saying in a statement on his website that he has lodged an appeal with the Guardian Council, the top legislative body in the Islamic Republic.
